Easy sudoku is the ideal level for players who know the basic rules and want a genuine challenge without the frustration of harder difficulties. Compared to Beginner, the grid starts with fewer given digits — you have more cells to complete, but every Easy puzzle is fully solvable by logic alone, with no guessing required. Three techniques make Easy grids straightforward to crack. First, use digit-by-digit scanning: pick one number, say 4, and check every row, column, and 3×3 box on the board. Wherever 4 already appears, it cannot appear again in that row, column, or box. When only one empty cell in a group can hold 4, fill it in immediately, then move to the next digit. Second, start in the densest regions: a 3×3 box with six or seven given digits has only two or three cells left to fill, and the restricted candidate list makes them quick to deduce. Always prioritise the areas that already contain the most numbers before tackling the emptier parts of the board. Third, repeat each full pass: every number you place removes that digit as a candidate from its row, column, and box, which creates new openings for the next pass through the grid.
